Location. Mediterranean styling and casual ambience intersect at South Point, a family friendly hotel and casino located five miles from McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Nev. Complimentary shuttle service is provided to destinations along the Las Vegas Strip.
Hotel Features. Silverado Steakhouse hosts fine cuts of meat and seafood, while Don Vito's features Old World pasta recipes. The Garden Buffet offers six live cooking stations and the Coronado Caf� boasts a Chinese kitchen and coffee shop items. 150,000 square feet of meeting and convention facilities are available, as is a well appointed business center. Wireless Internet access is offered for a fee. Pampering treatments at Spa Costa Del Sur include the Grapes of Wrath body exfoliation, Spice Trader Facial and the Goddess of the Sun Ritual. One of the finest indoor equine facilities in the country is hosted by the South Coast Equestrian Center, with a 4,400 seat arena and 1,200 climate controlled horse stalls. Amenities include an 80,000 square foot casino, 16 screen movie complex, 64 lane bowling center and 600 seat entertainment venue that boasts headline acts and DJ hosted events. Additionally available are an outdoor activity area with sand volleyball court, hospitality area, outdoor lagoon style pool and an array of fitness equipment.
Guestrooms. The 1,350 guestrooms are embellished with mixed wood furnishings, paneled draperies, upholstered chairs, framed landscapes and accents in antique gold, peach and claret. Bedding features down comforters and triple sheeting, while bathrooms contain marble vanities and Essential Elements toiletries. Expert Tip. The Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas hosts Viva Vision, the biggest big screen on the planet. Over 12 million lights and 550,000 watts of sound are incorporated into complimentary shows which occur nightly on the hour beginning at dusk.
Renovation Notice:
The hotel's pool is scheduled to be closed for the winter season, beginning November 1, 2007. No estimated reopen date is available. The hotel is currently constructing new guestrooms, restaurants and bars. The estimated completion date is summer 2008. These dates are subject to change. There may be noise disturbance.
